About Education Outreach

Gallery 1C03

A view of the gallery shows art educator Ruby Bruce standing beside 3 woven and beaded wall hangings on the back wall. She is speaking to a class of children who are seated on the floor in front of her. She looks at a child on the left who has their hand raised to ask a question. In the foreground is a sculpture: a long, low curving wood table with a pot placed atop it at one end and clay tiles beneath it.

For several years, Gallery 1C03 has invited schools and community groups to bring their students and youth to campus to take part in our free education program. The format of our program involved a tour of the exhibition on view in the gallery, followed by discussion, and a creative response activity.

Although it is not possible to visit us right now while we continue to program online due to the pandemic, we are bringing the art and the education program to you!

Learn more about our digital education programs. We have two available: one related to theSovereign Intimaciesexhibition and one forWhen Raven Became Spider.
