Lorena Fontaine博士照片Lorena Fontaine (LLB, LLM, PhD) is Cree-Anishinabe and a member of the Sagkeeng First Nation in Manitoba, Canada, is the Indigenous Academic Lead, overseeing UWinnipeg’s Indigenous Course Requirement (ICR), the Weweni Indigenous Scholars Speaker Series and co-director of the Indigenous Languages Program. Dr. Fontaine is an award-winning researcher, author, and associate professor in the Department of Indigenous Studies with expertise in Indigenous language rights, linguicide, and the legacy of the residential schools. She has previously taught at First Nations University of Canada and the School of Public Policy at Queen’s University.
