UW Hosted Scholarly Journals

Scholarly Journals

"Scholars need the means to launch a new generation of journals committed to open access, and to help existing journals that elect to make the transition to open access..." (Budapest Open Access Initiative, 2002)

The University of Winnipeg Library usesOpen Journal Systems (OJS)for hosting current production of, and for providing access to the archives of, these scholarly journals:

The online presence for many of these journals was established in large part due to funding from the Synergies project and the tireless dedication of many staff in the Library and journal editors and managers. Synergies was aCanadian Foundation for Innovationfunded project and a not-for-profit platform for the publication and the dissemination of research results in social sciences and humanities published in Canada including manyCanadian Social Science & Humanities journals. The University of Winnipeg was the Manitoba node, which was part of the Prairie node for theSynergiesproject.
