The MDP maintains and continuously expands its network of partner organizations working at all levels of development from government to non-governmental, from not-for-profit to private sector, from community-based to international organizations. You will be given a range of options to choose from for your placements and are matched according to your preference and eligibility. A program priority is to ensure that the placement is as valuable for you the student as it is for the host organization. Students are also given the opportunity to develop their own field placements, if they so choose.
Upon completion of the placements, the MDP hosts a Symposium in which all present to a community-wide audience. The diversity of placements, the range of skills and projects developed and the incredible professional and personal learning that takes place is impressive.
