Back2gether Vaccination Campaign

Getting two doses of an approved COVID-19 vaccine is the quickest way to returning to the complete UWinnipeg experience

At The University of Winnipeg, we’re looking forward to getting Back2gether this fall term.

As we resume in-person instruction for the upcoming 2021-22 academic year, there will be a phased return to the complete UWinnipeg experience. That includes on-campus classes and labs, face-to-face student services, and a gradual increase in extra-curricular programming.

More than 40 per cent of UWinnipeg classes will be taught in person beginning in September and the majority of winter term course instruction will be in the classroom. Remote learning alternatives will also be available for those who prefer that mode of delivery.

However, to make this transition back to traditional learning possible, we need your help. By getting two doses of an approved COVID-19 vaccine, you are not only protecting yourself and others against the virus, but making it possible to return to a more normal university experience in September and beyond.

While it’s not mandatory for students, faculty, and staff to be vaccinated, we encourage everyone in the UWinnipeg community to follow the advice of Province of Manitoba health officials and get vaccinated as soon as possible.

Getting your shot is easy. All Manitobans aged 12 years and older are eligible to schedule a first dose vaccine appointment today. Second dose eligibility has also been extended to all Manitobans, provided the date of the second dose is 28 days after they received their first dose.

Visit ProtectMB.ca tobook your first or second doseappointment, get answers to commonly asked questions, sign up for your immunization card, and view other resources.

Over the summer, we encourage the entire UWinnipeg community to use the #Back2gether hashtag to share our messages and keep up to date with our campaign. Campaign graphics forFacebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedInare also available for download on the UWinnipeg Flickr.

With your help, we can all get #Back2gether this fall!
