I am a Student - How do I reset my WebAdvisor password?

Students who DO NOT remember their WebAdvisor password:

You can use the WebAdvisor application to create a temporary password using the ‘Forgot My Password’ option.

Go to :WebAdvisor

  • Please click on the “Current Students”.
  • You will be presented with a number of options. Please click on "Forgot My Password" from the right side bottom of the list to follow the prompts and reset the password.

If the “Forgot My Password” function does not work, you can contact the Service Desk by phone (204-786-9149) or by emailservicedesk@uwinnipeg.cato receive a temporary password.

  • Please login with the temporary password toWebAdvisorto change the password to a new personalized one.
  • Once the you attempt to log in to WebAdvisor, you will be prompted to change the password.
  • The new network password must meet the following criteria:
  • Your password must be a minimum of 9 characters (to a maximum of 24)
  • At least one uppercase character from A-Z
  • At least one lowercase character from a-z
  • At least one number from 0-9
  • At least one special character! “ # $ % ‘ * + ) ( - . / ] [ ^ _

Students who want to UPDATE the current WebAdvisor password to a new password:

  • Go to :WebAdvisorchange the password to a new one.
  • Once you have logged into the WebAdvisor using your current password, please click on the “change password” option on the top right side to change the password to a new one. Once you have clicked on it, it will be prompted to change the password.
  • The new network password must meet the following criteria:
  • Your password must be a minimum of 9 characters (to a maximum of 24)
