Move-in Procedure

When to arrive

Residents must arrive within the first 10 minutes of their scheduled move in appointment, otherwise an alternate move in time must be scheduled with Campus Living.

Registration at the Welcome Table

  • Each resident is permitted a maximum of2 helpersto assist with moving in.
  • Helpers mustwait outside/in their caruntil the resident has completed allcheck in paperwork(see below).
  • The helpers mustregisterat the residence'sWelcome Tableafter the resident has completed their check in paperwork.
    • The McFeetors Welcome Table is located by the main building entrance (the one closest to Portage Ave).
    • The Balmoral Welcome Table is located in the Balmoral Courtyard, between 270 and 278 houses.
  • During registration, you will be asked if you are experiencing anysymptomsrelated to COVID-19, and proof of COVID-19vaccinationmay be required.
    • Residents showing signs of COVID-19 you will be required toself-isolatefor 14 days and/or contact Manitoba Health before entering the building, regardless of vaccination status.
    • Helpers showing signs of COVID-19 will not be permitted entrance to residence buildings.
  • Helpers will be required to providecontact-tracing information, and will receive awrist bandpermitting them residence access for up to2 hours.
  • Helpers must leave residence within their allotted 2 hours, and mustsign outat the Welcome Table when leaving.
  • Residents and helpers must follow PPE requirements and safety precautions (see below).

Safety Procedures & Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

  • You will see “space expectation” posters in communal residence spaces. Please ensure to read these posters, and follow all expectations listed. These include but are not limited to, capacities, masks, social distancing etc.
  • Throughout the check in process, please followdirectional arrows,social distancing stickers, and remember tosanitize your gloved hands regularly.
  • When registering at the Welcome Table, residents and their helpers will be required tosanitizetheir hands, and wearmasks and glovesbefore being admitted into residence.
  • Masks and gloves must be worn在任何时候而在residence buildings.
  • Campus Living will provide disposable masks and gloves for those who do not have them.
  • Anyone whodoes not follow these procedureswill not be admitted entrance to residence, and may be escorted out by security.
  • Campus Living willsanitize all high traffic areas and touch pointsin between move ins.

Check In Paperwork

  • Residents will complete their check in paperwork at the Welcome Table before being admitted to their room.
  • Check in paperwork include but is not limited to the following:
    • Residence Agreement
    • COVID-19 Acknowledgement
    • Amended Campus Living Policies and Procedures for COVID-19
    • Room Inspection Report
  • After completing the paperwork, helpers will be allowed to register at the Welcome Desk and start helping the resident move into their room

Additional Information:

Campus Living Contract & Residence Agreement:Before your move in day make sure to review the Campus Living Contract that you will sign and agree to on move-in day.

Hand Sanitizer:Campus Living will provide you with 1 bottle of hand sanitizer on your move in. We encourage you to use it regularly.

Masks:You will be required to wear a mask in all common spaces in residence and while entering and exiting the building. We ask that you bring with you two reusable cloth masks to wear while in the common spaces.

Zoom Account:You will receive an email notifying you to create a Zoom account and provide the account information to our office prior to your move in. On arrival you will be asked to verify your Zoom account information.

Mandatory Residence Orientation:You must attend the Mandatory Residence Orientation on Sept 6, 2021. You will receive a specific email with more detailed information regarding orientation.

Meal Plans:Residents living in McFeetors will have the option to use their meal plans via delivery and take-out, with potential options for dine-in. Residents in the Balmoral Houses who elect to have a meal plan are not eligible for delivery and must use take-out methods, with the potential option for dine-in.
