Rise是在两人,女同性恋,同性恋,双性恋,跨性别,酷儿和质疑(2SLGBTQ+)青年领域进行全包教育研究的场所。RISE aims to produce critical research on 2SLGBTQ-inclusive education and 2SLGBTQ issues, including studies on LGBTQ youths’ health and wellbeing, the effectiveness of Gay-Straight Alliances/Gender and Sexuality Alliances (GSAs) and other school-system interventions in reducing stigma and improving resilience of LGBTQ students, and individuals’ experiences of homophobia in Canadian schools. Driven by a strong emphasis on social justice and human rights, RISE aims to make such research accessible as we work together to identify best practices for researchers, educators, and citizens alike to improve the lives of 2SLGBTQ students, staff, and families and end discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity and expression.
