Mature Access
Who Can Apply for Admission as a Mature Access Student?
If you do not meet the University’s requirements for admission as a Mature Status student, you can still apply for admission as a Mature Access student.
To apply for admission as a Mature Access student:
- you must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada
- you will turn at least 21 years of age in the calendar year in which you register for courses for the first time
- you have not graduated from high school or completed any university or college courses.
How Can I Apply for Admission as a Mature Access Student?
When you apply online for admission as a Mature Access student, you must hand in to Student Central, first floor of the Rice Centre, 489 Portage Avenue, attention Adult Learner Services/ Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), or to the Aboriginal Student Services Centre, 2L01, second floor of Lockhart Hall the following documents:
- proof of your date of birth
- anapplication fee
- an official transcript from your secondary school showing your highest grade level
- a Statement of Intent

- it would be best to apply for admission by these dates:

- Fall term - July 2
- Winter term - November 1
- Spring term - March 1
