The UW Safety Office is conducting risk assessments to determine the need for controls based on the nature of the work being performed, and the duration of the work, balanced against current health restriction requirements.

If not already approved for in-person instruction on campus and I want to hold a special event or activity, what is the process?

However, the number of people and activities will remain limited to comply with public health guidance and reduce the risk of potential exposure to COVID-19. The campus changes will be prioritized, phased in, adapted, and carefully managed as we incrementally increase access.

Faculty members and staff are permitted on-campus office access from 7:30 am – 5:00 pm (Monday to Friday). Faculty and staff are no longer required to sign-in upon arrival through the Security Office, and the check-in kiosks are no longer in operation.

For after-hours and weekend access, check in at the Security office in Centennial Hall using the video intercom, or the video intercom located near your building entrance to ask for access assistance. Security staff will ask that you present your University identification and upon verification, will provide access remotely. Proof of full vaccination will be required for campus access, regardless of the time of day.

Salto access to interior building doors has been reinstated for all staff who had approved access prior to the pandemic.
